Social Capitalists

On the one hand the Cafuelarena like aquiring and spending money. They have good taste, they can appreciate the finer things in life. They enjoy good food, indulge in French cooking. They can be career minded, be interested in business, and are interested in art. Then there is the love of boats.  You don't have to be rich to be Cafuelarena, but some are reasonably wel off. With the love of boats they can come into contact with people who have money. They are comfortable with money, and with people who have money.

On the other hand, they trace some of their deepest origins from French cafe society.  The traditions of sitting in bars, or outside discussing philosophy and politics. So there is that strongly left wing flavour as well. So how on Earth do the Cafuelarena square all this?

The Cafuelarena are social capitalists.

The Cafuelarena are so pro European it is beyond belief. For them two of the greatest events in history , were the British industrial revolution, and even more so, the post war German economic miracle. There are different flavours of capitalism, and the Cafuelarena like theirs decidedly German flavour.

Cafuelarena president Honor Hammond said - We are all Europeans now. Their heroes are the German economist Fredrick Liste, and the French Colbert. Their political bibles are The World we're in by Will Hutton, and The Seven Cultures of Capitalism, (European author). The cold war is over, the battle between socialism and capitalism is dead. The new battle is between Total Free Market Capitalism, and Social Capitalism.  Our political signature tune is Who's side are you on, by Matt Bianco. Who's side are you on? Free market or Social Capitalist?

To properly understand all this, it is essential to obtain and read those two books. Cafuelarena have to read a chapter a month of each book. Honor Hammond said - Buy a European car, buy European wine. Buy European as much as you can. Don't worry too much what nation state you come from, the nation state is too small to fight the monster of total ruthless free market capitalism. We cannot fight it alone, we have to be in with Europe. Otherwise we have no chance, the world will be a bleak place.
